On October 26th, students celebrated Light On Afterschool by creating lanterns. The lanterns represent keeping afterschool programs open for children and their families. Lights On Afterschool is a special project of the Afterschool Alliance which ensures children have access to quality after school programs. The Lights On Afterschool Campaign was launched in 2000 and is now recognized nationwide. Our 5 GLO sites participated in this years event. Check out the photos below highlighting the lanterns made to commemorate this year’s event.
