    Week 1

    Clay Making

    June 14 - June 18

    Are your kids finally ready for a chance to play in the mud? Here children will get hands-on fine art experience using materials straight from the Earth! Join us in studying and creating the ancient art of the Native Americans, Mayans, and Aztecs! From old-fashioned mud to colored sand, children will get to mold historical creations, make beautiful sand paintings, and form modern pottery! By the end of the week kids will be able to express themselves through hands on mediums. Students will be creating things like hand made pottery and clay sculpture. Students will also learn how to manipulate materials to create three-dimensional art.

    Week 2

    Adventures Under the Sea

    June 15 - June 19

    Did you know that the ocean makes up 70% of the earth’s surface? Have you ever wondered what goes on down there? Dive into this adventure and we’ll find out, as we become oceanographers exploring the fascinating plant and animal life of the vast undersea world. Children in this class will get to learn about sea creatures, coral reefs, and weather patterns. They will explore all the fascinating things that happen beneath the Ocean’s surface. This is a week in which you will definitely want to submerge yourself! By the end of it you will become sea captains of knowledge!

    Week 3

    Pirates & Islands

    June 9 - July 2 -Closed on July 5th.

    Ahoy all Pirate Island buccaneers and mystical mermaids! Come aboard this pirate ship and have a swashbuckling good time as we set sail on a mighty voyage. This week children will read stories, play games, tell true pirate tales, follow treasure maps to find the hidden treasure, spend time looking for gold, and walking the plank. When they are done they will be able to tell others about pirates of the high seas and adventures of the Islands! rrrrrr See ya there matey!

    Week 4

    Animal Planet

    July 6 - July 19

    Let’s go on a safari! Don’t forget your sunscreen, camera, and binoculars because this will be a remarkable adventure… This week children will learn about fascinating and exotic creatures from around the globe. They will study and experience new creatures, talk with animal experts, and go on a real Safari to the San Francisco Zoo! Children will have the chance to discover the inhabitants of endangered tropical forests, African savannahs, frozen arctic tundras, and arid desert plains as we take this adventurous safari around the world.

    Week 5

    All About Bugs

    July 12 - July 16

    Did you know that over 900,000 known species of insects exist throughout the world? And that each year, insects eat about a third of the world’s food crops? Well grab your magnifying glasses because we are about to take a closer look at bugs! First we will study and classify insects from around the world, then we will go on a bug hunt around campus to find those tiny creatures that live among us, and finally we will get a visit from the scientific experts of the Insect Discovery Lab! Come explore the small, the strange, and the wonderful world of bugs!

    Week 6

    Superheroes!

    July 19 - July 23

    Together, you will learn all the skills you need to be a Super Hero and save the world…all in one week! This week children will have the playful opportunity to discover the excitement and adventures of some of their favorite fictional characters. Children will create a super alias, make super costumes, and practice super special powers! From creating comic books to devising ways to save the planet… If you so choose to participate, we must warn you it will be an adventure of epic proportions!
