Through Kites and paper airplanes children can accomplish their dream to fly while remaining here on Earth. This week they will learn many scientific principles of flight. They will learn all about air, what it consists of, and why it is needed to fly. Children will also make their own flying machines as they explore different types of paper airplanes, kites, and model helicopters. Come figure out which ones fly farther, higher, faster, longer, and why? Are you ready to take flight?

Discover your green thumbs! We will experiment with various gardening projects, so be ready to dig and nurture. The love of gardening often begins in childhood, so let’s begin. What do we know and wonder about plants? We’ll explore plants, seeds, soil, organic matter, basic botany, roots, worm compost, and pollination. Through writing a garden journal, you will become a caring nature observer. SUPPORTED BY CRISSY FIELD CENTER.
Spend this week in the spotlight! Children will have the opportunity to express themselves through creative performance. Each day will consist of building skills essential for performance: focusing on acting techniques, voice and speech, dance and choreography. By the end of the week the class will be able to perform a short skit or performance in front of an audience. This will be a fun and exciting opportunity to build acting skills and self- confidence. Lights, camera, action!
